Coronavirus (COVID-19)
March 30, 2020 in Corporate News
To our Customers and Partners,
The safety and security of our customers, partners and team has always been our top priority. The spread of the new coronavirus, COVID-19, has likely raised questions and concerns among all of us in some way, and we are monitoring it closely. Many of our customers and partners rely on our services for critical communications, and we take that responsibility seriously.
State of Readiness
As a telecommunications and mobile satellite services provider, we have maintained a regularly updated emergency preparedness plan since our founding. We have recently reviewed and revised those plans to ensure they continue to keep us ready for ongoing operations. As a global company, we are closely following information and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control, The Australian Department of Health and the World Health Organization.
Safety and Health
Staff have been advised to follow a safety protocol of regular handwashing and ongoing sanitization of all surfaces, eliminating physical contact and staying at home if unwell, in order to minimize the spread of any disease.
Daily Operations
We staff three offices in entirely different regions with redundant capabilities: Louisville, TN, outside of Knoxville; Hawthorne, NJ, outside of New York City, and our new office in Hollywood, FL, outside of Ft. Lauderdale. Our offices currently remain open and fully operational. Additionally, each department across the company is also prepared to operate in a virtual environment with staff working from home to ensure that sales, activations, accounting and support continue to operate effectively.
Network Operations
The Pivotel Network is a highly automated system that spans the globe with multiple redundant interconnects and systems. It is specifically designed for redundancy and maximum reliability. This is also true of the satellite Carriers who provide the underlying services that we offer.
We approach this fast-changing situation with an abundance of caution, and a readiness to adjust as necessary. At Pivotel, we value our long-standing relationships. Please be assured that we are committed to doing all we can to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers, partners and staff, and the ongoing operations of the services you rely on.
Sincerely,
Robert Sakker
President, Pivotel America
